The Missing Link in Algebra Policy Analysis: a Case Study of Placement in 8th Grade Algebra, a report that analyzes how schools use data to make educated student placement in math classes was accepted for publication by the American Educational Research Association (AERA) at their 2013 Annual Conference in San Francisco.  The paper was co-authored by Andrew Thomas (True Analytics), Michael Butler (Public Works), and Robert Kaplinsky.
